This is one of Kristin’s cheapest, easiest and yummiest weekly menus especially if ham and/or brisket and/or potatoes are on sale. She stocks ups and freezes hash browns, cornbread and scratch pancakes which she makes herself to save even more.

Below are some of her hints and tips for her menu:Buying from the co-op also saves money because I stay out of the grocery store, which for us is Wal-Mart. We get just about everything from the co-op except fruit, tea, water, coffee, juice and maybe a handful of other items. Before using this menu, we would spend about $300 per month on just groceries. When I made menus for 2 weeks at a time with no rotation, regardless of what was still in the pantry, I was buying new ingredients for new dishes. This menu, plus snacks, all dairy, all baking supplies, all condiments, cost roughly $1300 per year, which averages out to be $108 a month. Add the $20-$30 we might spend at Wal-Mart and that is a big difference from $300; and we are eating healthy. My husband and I have one 4-year-old daughter.
