Chai Tea Mix or Spiced Milk Tea teapot

© Leslie Sausage

1/4 C instant tea
1/2 C nonfat dry milk
1/4 C powdered coffee creamer
1/2 C brown or white sugar
1 T instant vanilla pudding mix
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ginger
1/4 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp cloves
1/4 tsp cardamom
1/8 tsp black pepper

Combine ingredients in sift them to mix everything. Store on the pantry shelf.
I prefer brown sugar in this recipe, but white sugar can be substituted.

To Prepare: Combine 3 tablespoons Chai Tea Mix with 1 cup boiling water. Stir well to dissolve. Sip and enjoy!

Cardamom is THE ingredient that gives this recipe its authentic Indian flavor. It may be expensive or difficult to find. Check the Oriental market to see if they have it...

If it just impossible to find you can substitute an equal amount of allspice, but it will not be authentic Chai. :)
